Terms of Use
These Terms cover your use of heliosolarcalculator.com — the free calculator, related pages, and optional contact or Helio Verified inquiry flows.
Plain English, thin-but-real. Adam / legal should review before publish. No invented company HQ or jurisdiction theater here.
The short version
- Helio is a free calculator for sizing from your bill and seeing ballpark savings and pay-path framing.
- Numbers on this site are estimates, not quotes, contracts, or engineering stamps.
- You’re responsible for how you use the outputs when you talk to installers, lenders, or tax pros.
- Don’t abuse the site. Don’t scrape it into a spam machine.
What Helio provides
Helio helps homeowners:
- Estimate system size from electric usage / bill context.
- See illustrative production and savings shapes.
- Compare cash / loan / lease framing at a high level.
- When ready, contact Helio Verified installers after a full design with real information — not a purchased lead list.
Helio does not:
- Sell solar hardware or sign install contracts.
- Guarantee savings, production, timelines, or approval of any loan or lease.
- Quote federal tax credit dollar amounts. Incentive eligibility is between you, your installer, and a tax professional.
- Act as your electrician, engineer, or attorney.
For cost framing in Helio’s voice, see How much does solar cost?. For how Verified works, see Helio Verified.
Estimates are not bids
Roof reality, electrical upgrades, shade, equipment SKUs, permitting, utility rules, and labor all move the number. An installer site survey produces a bid. Helio produces homework so that conversation isn’t your first look at the math.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate inputs if you want useful estimates.
- Don’t use the site for illegal, harmful, or deceptive purposes.
- Don’t attempt to break, overload, scrape at abusive scale, or reverse-engineer the service in a way that harms other users or the product.
- If you submit a Verified installer application or a homeowner contact request, only send information you’re allowed to share.
Accounts and third parties
Some features may rely on third-party tools (hosting, email, maps, ads, analytics). Their terms and privacy practices apply to what they process. Ads may appear on the site (including Google AdSense). See the Privacy Policy for how we talk about cookies and ads.
Intellectual property
Site content, branding, and calculator presentation are owned by Helio / the site operator unless otherwise noted. You may use the public calculator for personal, non-abusive purposes. Don’t copy the product wholesale or imply a partnership we didn’t agree to.
No warranties (plain talk)
The site is provided as is. We work to keep it useful and available, but we don’t promise uninterrupted uptime, error-free estimates, or that the calculator fits every roof and utility rule in the country. Use outputs as a starting point, then verify with qualified local professionals.
Limitation of liability (plain talk)
To the extent allowed by law, Helio and the people operating this site are not liable for decisions you make based on estimates, for installer workmanship, for financing outcomes, or for third-party sites and ads you click through to. If a court says some limit can’t apply, the rest still does.
(Counsel: tighten jurisdiction, damages caps, and entity language as needed — do not invent them in this draft.)
